This is just a piece of information to help for future reference.
When a customer is getting quota warnings they will start deleting e-mails. Just note that if they are using an e-mail client, such as Thunderbird or Outlook, the disk usage percentage will usually note update right away. Have the customer give it some time, like a few hours or until the next day, and it will update.
Customers can also log directly into webmail and confirm their usage. Customers may have additional folders that are not subscribed to in their client and they will be visible in webmail. This happens when they use “oddly functioning” programs such as Windows Live Mail – additional folders may be created.
Also if customers just want a clean slate and all e-mail deleted you can put a ticket in and I will delete either 1) all e-mail or 2) all e-mail up to a certain date. There is no picking and choosing with this option other than these two options. If they want to pick and choose they have to do it on their own.
