WiFi Support Changes

Price Changes

As of February 1st, 2016 we will be changing the WiFi Support Charge to $0/month.

In the mean time customer care will leave the WiFi Support Charge listed under P&S in Ivue.  This will indicate that the customer has a modem from us with WiFi capability or other router like Netgear or Calix 844e.

Update August 3rd, 2016 8:49AM: The WiFi Support Charge listing in billable items was left in place for customer care purposes however I would not count on it for tech support purposes.  It would be best to assume we support all WiFi and that all customers can get it at no extra cost.

WiFi Troubleshooting

We will continue to troubleshoot WiFi problems and there is some information regarding that on this site.  If you have additional information to add or have questions please feel free to request information.

Easier To Switch To Our WiFi Router

This change will make it easier for us to switch a customer’s router out if it is old or not functioning well.  The customer will have the simple option of using our WiFi router or if they so choose they can still purchase their own router.

In some cases customers may prefer to purchase their own higher end router and this is fine.

Weak WiFi Signals

For locations that have WiFi weak spots we have options for installing APs at no extra cost.  This is a convenience for the customers so they don’t have to go out and buy their own equipment and install it on their own.

We are reviewing these options and will provide you more information on this in the future.   For now anyone who appears to need an AP and is interested in getting it from us can have a ticket escalated.  We will go out and review the situation and give the customer our recommendations.

Arris Reminder

Due to the high number of problems with the Arris WiFi we have decided to no longer use it.  Please read here for more information.
