If customers are adamant about have an unprotected service, and you have explained the risks, we can switch to the unprotected Hay DNS servers. Preferably on the specific device (Android Box), but if we have to and they are really requesting it, their router.
Please note: If the customer has no idea about Cyber Security, or technical things, we totally do not recommend changing DNS in the customer’s Gigacenter or other router.
A few customers have been calling in because recently the URL some of their Android Boxes use to access their illegal IPTV services has been auto-blocked by our firewall.
We do not white list addresses like this that get blocked for malware on unauthorized streaming services.
If the customer insists on bypassing our malware detection, they can switch to our unprotected Hay DNS Servers or something else that may not be blocking the URL however, be sure to educate them on the security risks they open themselves up to.
