Just verifying to let you know that there was an older SSL Certificate that ended up on the new mail server and it was causing the issues we were seeing since around July 10th. Since then the proper one has been loaded.
I’ve tested with my Android phone and I was able to properly set things up and the SSL Certificate successfully verified.
It is related to browsers and e-mail clients beginning to show warnings for anything using older TLS. The older certificate was using TLS 1.0. So for anyone that we clicked “Proceed Anyway” when the verification failed it will be good to know they are still using the secure settings.
Reminder we should always use the secure settings and recommend IMAP over POP3 unless the user has specific requests or reasons to use POP3. Also, we should try to never use ancient e-mail clients that are no longer supported. There is always the opportunity to download the free Thunderbird for users who don’t have an up-to-date email client. Remember we have it set so Thunderbird will auto-load the settings by just entering the email address and password.
