VNC Into Entone STB

Steps to VNC into an Entone STB

1. Open putty.
2. Highlight IPTV STB Key – no VNC and click the Load button.
3. Enter the rest of the IP address of the STB you want to VNC into and click Open.
   1. If you get a security alert regarding the host key, just click yes.
   2. If you get prompted for a password, it is entonehd
4. Enter the two commands dropbear and press enter, then

   iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 22 -j ACCEPT

   and press enter.

5. Open a second instance of putty, keeping the first one open as well.
6. Highlight IPTV STB Key and click the Load button.
7. Enter the rest of the IP address you are working with and click Open.
8. Now open TightVNC and enter localhost:15901 as the Remote Host and click Connect.
   1. Enter the password envnc123
9. Open the pyhnr.exe Remote Control program.
10. Enter the IP of the STB you are working with as STB IP and SSH Port 10022
11. Hit connect.

Congratulations! You are now VNC’d into the Entone STB.
