Process of adding equipment and finalizing an order for Cable Customers

For new installs:

If a tech drops the customer off equipment but hasn’t added anything yet, then what you will need to do is finalize the order, to do this.

  1. Find their account in Ivue, and look at their service order (this will have their wifi information in there)
  2. Then find their account in GLDS
  3. Click on the equipment tab

  4. Then click on Assign at the bottom left
  5. Ask the customer for the last four numbers of the CMAC on their modem, then type it into the ID number section with the Search By Last Digits check marked

  6. Once you have typed the number in there, click on search and then you should see their modem show up at the bottom.
  7. You can then double click on it and it should add it to their account and it will look something like this:

  8. Then click Done at the top right.
  9. Now click on the calendar at the top.

  10. Then you will see this, you will need to click on Finalize at the bottom right:

  11. A screen will pop up and will show this:

  12. Select your final reason as something appropriate, for new installs I set it as “New to area” then hit finalize.
  13. Now their modem has been added to their account and packages should ave already been set up by a CSR so that should be fine.
  14. Now go to Ezlink NOMs and wait for their modem to come up.
  15. Once it does, grab their router IP and put it into USS.
  16. Once you do that, you will have to grab the CXNK number and then put it under the equipment tab in ivue so it registers to their account.
  17. Then you can program wifi, the wifi information should be in ivue under the service order.
  18. Once that is programmed you should be good to go, get the customer to try it out and see if it works to be sure.
