Cable TV Pixellation

If a customer calls in to report Cable TV Pixellation we need to investigate fully to be sure what the problem is.

There were problems Sunday and equipment was replaced Monday and later in the afternoon Monday MSC said things were looking back to normal however they will be monitoring in case any fine tuning is needed.

If there is pixellation happening it is likely on specific channels.   At this time there is no known issue regarding a general area.

Today we were able to narrow one call down to Channel 396 CNNHD which was pixellating very badly and we were able to confirm it in our office.    As of 3:30PM it has been fine tuned and is coming in very clear now.

Most customers have been saying “it’s happening on all channels” however when we get them to check over the phone it is not happening at the moment…   So it is hard to say whether they actually checked all channels or just a few specific ones.

So please be sure to determine which channels the customer is experiencing pixellation on so we can get to the bottom of it.
