After you are signed in, click on Home and navigate to Dashboards > Common.

Here you will be presented with a list of commonly used metrics.

The 2 most common dashboards we will use are; Data Drill and User Profile.

Data Drill

This is the report that we can use to check for specific events / errors. By default, Filter is device_id

By default, this report filters by device_id but in order to get device_id you need to change filter to external_user_id.

External_user_id is the TV service agreement number. Enter that into the Filter Value field without dashes.

This report is sorted by date / time. To view only Errors, click on the funnel beside event_name and check the Error box, then click on OK.

User Profile

From the Home screen in Grafana, select Dashboards > Common > User Profile. This is the report that we can use to check which devices customers have used in a specific time period.

Change Filter to “external_user_id” and enter TV agreement in the filter value field.

Click the devices dropdown to see all devices that that have been used to sign into the TV app.

This can be helpful when trying to determine which devices are currently using the app if for instance, someone is getting an error indicating that they are using too many streams.
