Components to include in your status message:
- time of the status update, freshen up and re-do the message if there are updates, or if it has been a long time or a day since the last update
- what the issue is and that we are working on it
- if the customer is calling regarding that issue they should hang up and check the status message again later for an update
Set Hay Q Status Message:
– Press VM button twice on your phone.
– Enter your pin and hit #
– Press 9 to manage system recordings
– Press 2 to manage call queues
– Press 2 to manage call q 2.. (hay)
– To manage the status message press 2
– To change the status message press 2
– Record message and press # when done
– Listen to the recording to confirm it is good
– Press 1 to save it, or 2 to change it
To clear the Hay Q status message:
– Press VM button twice on your phone.

– Press 9 to manage system recordings
– Press 2 to manage call queues
– Press 2 to manage call q 2.. (hay)
– To manage the status message press 2
– To delete the status message press 4
Deleting the status message returns it to the system default which gives the caller placeholder status etc.
