If a customer calls in and they have a Hay supplied Netgear router (likely 3700 or 4300) please do a screen connect with them to log into it and update the firmware. It will check over the internet and find an update if there is one and install it.
This will patch some security holes that have become known. Customers should also be reminded in general that any CPE equipment like routers, APs, IoT devices, will need to be kept up-to-date so they should check their manuals or contact the manufacturer support for their devices.
