Programming SmartRG Modems Summary
This summary relates to SmartRG modems.
On the Device Summary of the modem it will indicate if it is in PTM or ATM mode.
Use standard config files to program modems in almost every case. They are found on the S:\ drive. If you are not sure which one to load onto a modem, check by calling 4400.
Bridge Mode
There is currently no standard config files for bridge mode. Just call into 4400 if you need help changing a modem to bridge mode. If it becomes a common issue where we frequently need to do this, we can consider creating a standard config for it however at this time there is no need because we will normally switch to a SR501 if the customer needs a modem in bridge mode.
Note 1: All SmartRG SR501 modems are programmed into bridge mode by default.
Note 2: Modems in bridge mode do not talk to the USS and need to have their firmware and config files updated manually.
