Setting up IMAP email accounts on IOS

How to setup an IMAP email account on your IOS device:

1. Go to the settings app on your phone.

2. In the settings, scroll down until you find the section that says “Passwords & Accounts”. Once you find that click on it.
On newer Apple Devices, it will be Mail, then Accounts, then you will see their Account.

3. In this screen, you will see a list of your accounts. Click on “Add Account”

4. This will bring you to this screen. Choose “Other”.

5. After clicking “Other”, it will bring you to this screen where you choose what account you want to add. In this case you want to add an email account so choose “Add Mail Account”.

6. After this you will be prompted to put your account information in. For the name you may put whatever you like (eg. First name), and then enter your email and password into the columns below and click on “Next”.

7. After hitting “Next” in the above step, you will be navigated to this page below.
Scroll down to the “INCOMING MAIL SERVER” section
In the Host Name section type in mail.hay.net
In the User Name section type your username (first part of your email before @hay.net)
Eg: If your email is ba@hay.net, then just type in ba.
In the password section type your email password.

On this same page, scroll down till you reach “OUTGOING MAIL SERVER”

In the Host Name section type in smtp.hay.net
In the User Name section type your username (first part of your email before @hay.net)
Eg: If your email is ba@hay.net, then just type in ba.
In the password section type your email password.

After this step hit “Next” at the top right of your screen.

8. After hitting “Next” it will redirect you to this page. If you use the mail app then make sure that you choose it in the list and then click “Save”.

9. After you hit “Save”, it will bring you back to the page you were first on but this time you will see the account you just set up in the list of accounts there.
