SSL (https://)

This website (support.haycomm.ca) has been updated to use SSL by default.   You may have to log in again.

Please note that Firefox and Chrome are slated to start indicating if a website is insecure in a more blunt fashion with their next releases.  They will focus on certain page elements but eventually they will warn on all page that load over http vs. https.

You may receive calls from customers asking why it says the website they are visiting is marked “not secure”.   The issue needs to be resolved with the web master / web developer of the particular website they are visiting so they should contact them via the website’s contact form.   There is nothing we can do.

Website owners can either pay for a SSL certificate from a provider they like the name of, or they an look into getting a free one via https://letsencrypt.org/.

Hay Web Hosting customers can have a free SSL certificate for their website via letsencrypt.org or cPanel’s free SSL certificate service.  Most of them already have the free cPanel SSL certifiacte set up.  If their website is coming up with mixed http and https content they will need to contact their webmaster to help them get their website updated for SSL/https only content.
